Privacy policy

Your scans stay local

scandango does not send your images or recognised text to us. It has no account, ads, tracking, analytics or cloud scan service.

The app stores your scans, source photos, recognised text, page edits and scan history in its local library. It uses this information to let you edit, search and export your work. Its image-processing models run on your device. We do not use your scans to train models.

Camera, Photos and Files

scandango asks to use the camera so you can scan pages. When you import from Photos or Files, you choose the items the app can read. Saving a scan to Photos needs add-only access. You can change access in iPhone Settings.

Sharing and backups

A scan leaves the app only when you choose to share or save it elsewhere. Files may save to a cloud drive, and another app may send a shared file to its own service. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Your device backup may include scandango's local files and data. Apple or your chosen backup provider handles those copies under your settings. scandango does not operate a backup or sync service.

Diagnostics

The app does not send us usage reports and has no analytics or advertising SDKs. Apple may provide crash reports from iOS or the App Store based on your settings and Apple's policies.

Delete your data

You can delete individual scans from Library. Settings also provides Delete All Scans and Clear History. Saved scans and scan history are separate, so clear both to remove both from the app.

These actions do not remove files you already exported, sent to another app or backed up. Delete those copies where you saved them. We have no server copy of your scans to delete.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include. Send Feedback adds the app version, device model and iOS version to a draft email. You can edit it before sending. scandango does not attach your scans.

We use support messages to answer you and fix problems. Send a private scan only when it is essential, and remove private details first.
